Getting started

Open Books for listening and reading, Cards for vocabulary and verbs, Situations for everyday practice, or Me for preferences and Govori Plus. No Govori account is required.

Your first 14 days

Full access starts when you first use the app. This app-managed trial does not start a store subscription. Afterwards, learned words remain available for review and previously opened texts remain available to listen to again. New learning content and Situations require Plus.

Annual or lifetime

Govori Plus is available as an annual auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Both include up to 15 daily Situations AI rounds. Future Govori learning materials are included while an annual subscription is active, or long-term with lifetime access. The App Store or Google Play displays the price for your region.

Restore an existing purchase in Me → Govori Plus → Restore purchases, using the Apple Account or Google Account that made the purchase. Manage or cancel annual renewals in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Purchases are restored within the store where they were made. Buying lifetime does not itself cancel an existing annual subscription.

Textbook audio and photos

For supported textbooks and readers, select your own audio files or ZIP archives from Files. Import and matching happen on your device; Govori does not download publisher audio. Publisher books and texts are obtained separately. Some recordings support sentence or passage playback; tracks without timing data play as a whole.

For supported textbooks, select photos of your own transcript pages. Govori reads them on your phone and checks the text sentence by sentence against the recordings. Lines that cannot be read on the phone can be sent as small crops through Govori to Anthropic for online recognition, after an in-app notice. Recognised text is saved on your device.

Supported publisher readers are audio only: import your audio and listen along with your printed book. Each sentence shows the page it is on, and the app reminds you when to turn the page.

Offline and online

Built-in audio and successfully imported recordings can play offline. Online recognition of hard-to-read lines, AI feedback, new speech generation, purchases and restoring purchases require a connection. Import a few Tracks or a whole-book ZIP; add missing Tracks later. Saved text remains available if processing is interrupted.
