Privacy Policy
Govori ("the App", available at govoriapp.si and as a mobile application) is operated by WKEU INVEST, investicije in nepremičnine, d.o.o., Štihova ulica 13, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we process when you use Govori and why.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your e-mail address and a hashed password (or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google), managed by our authentication provider Supabase.
- Learning progress: lesson completion, review schedules, practice streaks, saved flashcards and exam-practice history. This is stored on your device and synced to your account so that your progress is available on all your devices.
- Voice recordings: when you use speaking exercises, your microphone recording is sent to Microsoft Azure Speech Services for speech-to-text transcription (Slovene). Recordings are processed to produce the transcript and are not used to train models. Recordings you make in listen-and-repeat exercises stay on your device only and are never uploaded.
- Practice text: the sentences you speak or type in AI conversation exercises are sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to generate feedback and dialogue. They are linked to your account only for daily usage accounting.
- Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Stripe (web) or Google Play (Android app). We never see or store your card number. We store only your subscription status and plan.
- Usage quotas: we record daily AI-usage token counts per account to enforce fair-use limits.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not show ads and do not use advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or any data unrelated to language learning.
3. Service providers
We rely on the following processors, each receiving only the data needed for its function: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (authentication & database, EU region), Microsoft Azure (speech recognition & synthesis), Anthropic (AI feedback), Stripe and Google Play (payments).
4. Legal basis & retention
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the learning service), and usage quotas on the basis of legitimate interest (abuse prevention). Your account data and learning progress are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, associated data is deleted from our systems.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time. Write to yangni0704@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (IP-RS).
6. Children
Govori is intended for adult learners preparing for Slovene language exams and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
